Your contribution to the Social Justice Learning Institute makes you an ally in our efforts to help students and community members build knowledge to enact the change they want to see in themselves as well as in their neighborhoods.
Over the last 2 years alone, we passed and shaped the Care-First Community Investment for LA County, which will soon provide over $100 million toward equity-focused projects. With our peer organizations, youth leaders and community, we reduced police presence on LAUSD campuses and moved almost $100 million toward Black student achievement.
We launched new impactful youth development programs like the Youth Justice Fellowship, Urban Advocates, and the SJLI Alumni Persistence Program to stand with our students and alumni as they navigate life into young adulthood.
We distributed more than a million pounds of fresh produce to families dealing with food insecurity. Community members at the brink of being displaced were provided rental assistance, information, and additional resources that allowed them to remain housed.
It’s easy to say we would not have this level of impact without continued support.
